Gabriel Jenkinson is a founding member and Principal at Hollywood Ventures Group and also serves as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development for Entertainment Media Ventures, Inc. (EMV), founded in 1999 by Sanford Climan. EMV specializes in media investment and strategic advisory, focusing on branded entertainment, innovative technologies, and reshaping the intersections of business, media, and entertainment.
At EMV, Mr. Jenkinson advises venture capital firms, corporations, private equity firms, and national entities on entertainment-sector M&A projects. His work includes appraising international sports broadcasting rights, valuing a major live events company for acquisition, identifying synergies for media mergers, and mapping the film production landscape for large investments. He also manages EMV’s and its affiliates’ film and TV development slates, from identifying intellectual property to packaging and securing studio deals. Additionally, he builds and nurtures professional relationships with clients and affiliates worldwide.
Before EMV, Mr. Jenkinson held roles at the intersection of entertainment and business, excelling in analytical research, strategy, communications, and development. As a strategy and finance analyst at WIIP Studios, he played a key role in its sale to Korean telecom giant JTBC. At Melograno Films, he contributed to award-winning films, including MONICA and WHAT REMAINS. His experience spans prestigious institutions like McKinsey & Company and Creative Artists Agency.
In the public sector, Mr. Jenkinson conducted conflict research for the European Commission Joint Research Center, where he developed the EU’s AI-enabled conflict risk indexing system and redesigned its digital communications. His peer-reviewed article, Dynamic Conflict Risk Indexing, was published by the EU Publishing Office. During the COVID pandemic, he founded The Resupply Project, providing over 60,000 masks and 6,000 units of hand sanitizer to impoverished Indian communities through a grassroots, crowd-funded model.
An accomplished creative, Mr. Jenkinson participated in the Stars Collective, backed by a $100M development fund, and his short film Paura dell’Ignoto won the Socially Relevant Film Award at the Terra di Siena Film Festival. He also received the Seguso Prize at Cannes and starred in JAG Productions’ award-winning Fences.
Mr. Jenkinson graduated with honors from Dartmouth College in political science, was a 2022 Rhodes Scholar finalist, and is fluent in English, Italian, and French, with proficiency in coding languages.
